At Volunteers of America Oklahoma, we specialize in housing and providing resources to propel people forward in their lives restoring hope and dignity. Since 1993, VOA Oklahoma has been empowering veterans, the aging, the homeless and the disabled in 33 counties across Oklahoma and Kansas. Our work touches the mind, body, heart – and ultimately the spirit – of those we serve, integrating our deep compassion with highly effective programs and services.
What We Do
Our core strengths focus on providing safe, quality, affordable housing and supportive services to help individuals meet their basic daily living needs, thereby achieving steadily improving individualized levels of greater self-sufficiency. This common thread is weaved throughout three primary program areas outlined below.
VOAOK Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities program assists individuals with 24/7 residential and vocational care in urban and rural locations.
VOAOK Homeless Services programs: Payee Services, Permanent Supportive Housing, Veterans Employment Services and Veterans Housing, provide stable housing with supportive services including employment, 24/7 intensive case management services and money management services to individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.
VOAOK Aging Services programs provide affordable Senior Housing at 8 property locations across Oklahoma and into Kansas. Basic needs and supportive services are provided for the elderly to ensure each person is ages in place with dignity and grace. The Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) in Muskogee provides volunteer opportunities for senior adults to remain active and healthy while providing community support for the elderly, veterans and added capacity for non-profit organizations.
